About the hunt

We accept applications all year long.  Every January, we review all applications received over the previous year and choose six hunters to participate in the hunt that will take place in the following October.  Accepted applicants are immediately notified.  When you are ready to apply, download the application and liability waver from the link below.  (Both are included in a single .pdf document.)  Print, fill out and sign the application and waiver, and mail them to:

Getting to the hunt

Hunters are responsible for their own transportation to and from Ekalaka.  Hunters will check in and stay at the Livingston Ranch, which is located at:

Ekalaka, Montana 59324

What you will need

Hunters are responsible for obtaining their own hunting license.  Montana hunting licenses can be obtained from the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks.  To get your Montana hunting license online, click here.

On the hunt, you will need to provide your own:

1.) Warm and cold weather clothing, including hats and gloves

2.) Sleeping bag and pillow

3.) Toiletries (towel, soap, shampoo, etc.)

4.) Orange vest

5.) Camera

6.) Any medications you need

You may bring your own rifle and ammo.  If needed, we can supply you with a rifle and ammo for the duration of the hunt.
